![]() ![]() Another thing it could possibly be is a blocked heater matrix but before I start spending daft money I would massively appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. I'm not entirely sure if all the problems are related, I also read somewhere here that it could be a head gasket - oil in coolant would suggest that - but the temp gauge sits at 50 for the first hour of driving and then gradually sits at a steady 90 no matter how long I drive the car. Its a Seat Leon FR TDI mk2 2007 plate, its had a DPF delete, EGR delete and stage 1 remap (I bought it like this). I drove it back to Scotland and took it to another garage to discover that the engine was basically gone - £1500 fix so I just bought a newer one with less miles and a tad more power.Īnyways, this new one has oil in the coolant tank, there is an oil leak coming from somewhere at the front left of the engine, there is no heat coming from the heater and on cold mornings (pretty much everyday in Scotland) the engine ticks over for about 4 - 8 seconds before starting, when it does start there is a little bit of white smoke that comes from the exhaust - but no smoke during driving. I got the car back and it was misfiring (they advised me not to drive it but I had to get back home. I took the car to a garage in Manchester (VW specialists) and they charged me £454 to replace the EGR valve and the intercooler pipes. This all happened while I was down in England visiting a couple of my mates (I live in Scotland). I just bought my 2nd Seat Leon FR TDI after the 1st one's engine packed in - something broke off one of the cylinders and hit one of the fuel injectors and some other things inside the engine and lodged itself in the EGR valve. I've used this forum in the past to figure out problems I was having with my old Seat and it helped me massively, its a great community and everyone is super helpful - thank you! Hey peeps, I hope you are all well, I decided to create an account to get to the bottom of my issues.
